Epi-max, the No. 1 emollient moisturiserin South Africa, introduces three new pH balanced emollient body washes to their range of popular skincare products that are trusted1 by families, doctors and pharmacists to safely and effectively repair and restore dry skin.

The pH balanced, non-irritant emollient body washes have been added to the Epi-max® Original, Baby & Junior, and Oatmeal ranges. Key ingredients of the Epi-max® Body Washes

All the ingredients used in Epi-max® products are carefully researched and tested. Each formula contains only the gentlest ingredients shown to soothe, calm and hydrate while effectively cleansing the skin.

Sorbitol is a prebiotic ingredient that helps feed the naturally-occurring bacteria on the skin. When the balance of the microbiome is affected by over-washing, harsh products or illness, a weakened skin barrier and decreased resilience to infection may result.2

Glycerine improves the skin’s barrier function by preventing water loss and keeps the skin hydrated, soft and supple. 4

Coconut oil, used in the Baby & Junior wash, produces a thick lather when combined with water, resulting in a creamier product that hydrates the skin. 3

Colloidal Oatmeal, found in the Oatmeal wash, is produced from grinding whole oat grains. It is a cleanser, moisturiser and buffer, as well as a soothing, protective and anti-inflammatory agent.5
